Work in Canada
Work in Canada
Foreign workers are welcome to work in Canada through a number of streams and programs. There are 2 main types of work permit programs in Canada and they are:

LMIA-Based Work Permits (TFWP)
In the Temporary Foreign Worker Program, a LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) is required for a foreign national to obtain a work permit.

LMIA-Exempt Work Permits (IMP)
Canada has entered into bilateral and multilateral Free Trade Agreements in order to establish the most favourable environment for Canadian businesses to compete abroad (FTA)

The TFWP
The TFWP (Temporary Foreign Worker Program)
Under the TFWP, employers that are planning to fill in the labour shortages in the country are required to complete the government’s labour market test, which is widely known as the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA).
How To Apply For Canadian Work Permit:

Step 1:
In order to apply, there is a really high chance that you might need to get an LMIA (Labour Market Impact Assessment) from the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC).

Step 2:
You are not required to apply for an occupation-restricted open work permit when submitting your permanent residence application under either pilot.
The IMP
The IMP (International Mobility Program)
Canada has entered into bilateral and multilateral Free Trade Agreements in order to establish the most favourable environment for Canadian businesses to compete abroad (FTA).

Foreign workers qualifying under an FTA are required to obtain a work permit in order to work in Canada, but they are excused from having to complete a Labor Market Impact Assessment (LMIA), making the process of acquiring a work permit simple, affordable, and quick.

The CETA (Canada-European Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement), as well as the FTAs with Chile, Peru, Columbia, and Korea, are similar to CUSMA in that they all grant temporary entry to four types of businesspeople: business visitors, professionals, intra-company transferees, and traders and investors.
